![]() The main advantage they have is their superior hydro to fish out destroyers that overextend themselves and camp in their smoke, but this is a fairly rare occurrence. KM cruisers are slower than all of their peers, so they can't run down destroyers. These ships can be decent destroyer-hunters, provided conditions are right, but it's quite specialized. It's much more useful to put the two points into other skills to make the ship more versatile. These ships already have the fastest heavy cruiser turrets in the game, EM improves rotation by less than 10%, and the stock rotation can keep up with the ships in full turns. IMO, the Expert Marksman skill on the Roon and Hindenburg is a waste. The Roon, without the CSM1 upgrade, has a detection of 12.6km, which is completely playable (matches the best-concealed Hindenburg with the same gun range). Having a double-rudder shift on these boats significantly improves their kiting abilities. Skills: PT, AR, BFT, CE, SI, EL, BoS, JoATįor more than a year, I used the reload upgrade in slot 6, but I've found that 17.8km range on the upper-tier maps is deeply constraining in position options, so I've been running the range upgrade instead since. ![]() Upgrades: MAM1, HSM1, AAGM1, SGM2, Legendary, GFCSM2 ![]() ![]() Skills (in order acquired): PT, AR, BFT, CE, SI, EL, V, JoAT (DE is a very good alternate to SI or V) Upgrades: MAM1, HSM1, AAGM1, SGM2, SGM3, GFCSM2 I run slightly different builds on my Roon and my Hindenburg, although the same build can work for both since they have (very) similar play styles. Just got the Roon and I am wondering which is better faster gun reload or longer gun range these days? Or is another build better? The WOWs wiki seemed to indicated faster gun reload was better, but uncertain how up to date that is and I do not need to spend 3 million credits multiple times to get it right lol. ![]()
